Ion Gavrila Ogoranu (n. 1 ianuarie 1923, Gura Vaii, comuna Recea, judetul Fagaras; d. 1 mai 2006, comuna Sântimbru, sat Galtiu, judetul Alba) a fost un celebru luptator în munti, împotriva comunismului. În memoriile sale, marturiseste ca aflat în anul 1976, pe când era anchetat la Securitate, la Rahova, ca în acte, localitatea sa de nastere era Iasi, judetul Fagaras. A actionat pe versantul nordic al Muntilor Fagaras.
