Zona turistica Padis se afla in ramura nordica a Muntilor Bihor, lant din Muntii Apuseni. Din punct de vedere administrativ, zona Padis e situata in sud-estul judetului Bihor, pe raza comunei Pietroasa, pana la granita cu judetele Cluj si Alba. Din zona turistica Padis fac parte :

Sarbatoarea Sfintilor Apostoli Petru si Pavel
Sfintii Apostoli Petru si Pavel sunt praznuiti de catre Biserica Ortodoxa la data de 29 iunie a fiecarui an. Acestia sunt sarbatoriti impreuna datorita faptului ca ambii s-au savarsit la Roma. Sfantului Apostol Pavel i s-a taiat capul iar Sfantul Apostol Petru a fost rastignit cu capul in jos. Conform Sinaxarului, moastele celor doi apostoli au fost puse impreuna. Conform cercetarilor recente, Petru a fost rastignit in anul 64, iar Pavel a fost decapitat in anul 67. Petru si Pavel sunt, de asemenea, autori a unor epistole incluse de catre Biserica in textele canonice ale Noului Testament (Pavel -14; Petru – 2). Acestia sunt considerati ca fiind printre cei mai importanti oameni care au luat parte la Biserica lui Hristos.

Wild Carpathia is a stunning documentary about a little-known part of Europe. Romania has a huge virtually-untouched area of mountains almost the size of Britain. Much of the area is a time-capsule with an almost-medieval life-style.
Wild Carpathia takes you deep into these Transylvania forests and mountains. Presented by Charlie Ottley, it follows his quest to find remote villages, cross mountains and spot bears in the wild. During this journey he meets a dedicated group of individuals whose passion for this area is helping to redefine its importance as one of the great surviving wonders of the natural world. These include a Transylvanian Count, who is working to conserve some of the most ancient of Carpathia's medieval villages and HRH The Prince of Wales, who can trace his ancestry back to Romania's dark and distant past.
